Meet the Sofie Dolls!

Sofie Dolls are porcelain ball jointed dolls, designed and created completely by hand. The dolls are created from scratch by one person, from sculpting to making clothes and accessories. They are made with traditional technics without 3D-printing.

The dolls are flexible: they have ball joints in the points of articulation, which allows them to take many natural poses. You can change the poses of a doll as you desire, and for 45cm dolls – even the position of the fingers.

Sofie Dolls are made of finest porcelain and painted with china paint, which is fired in the kiln and bonded with porcelain at the molecular level. These paints will never fade or scratch off. Porcelain is resistant for the environment; it does not turn yellow or change it looks in any way over time.

All clothes is sewn by hand. For clothes, I use only natural fabrics dyed by hand, finest lace and Japanese beads. Clothes are made according to doll's size, it's fully functional and has all required fasteners and buttons.

Each doll is created individually using traditional technologies. Small details and the painting are unique for each piece. Only a few dolls are created every year.

Being made by hand, every doll has its own features and is an unrepeatable piece of art. All of the Sofie Dolls are created with inspiration, love and dedication to every detail.
